Application Process - Latvia
1. Application Form and Documents
Fill in the online application form OR send us the following documents:
● Secondary Education Certificate (10th and 12th grade / Ordinary and Advanced levels)
● Last Graduation Certificate
● IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge English language certificate, or B2 level proof (Not mandatory and MOI can be provided)
● CV
● Passport copy (front and back if there is data on the back page)
2. Registration Fee
After the initial assessment of the documents, we will issue a non-refundable registration fee of 150 EUR that will be paid along with the registration fee as per the university chosen.
You will receive the Conditional offer letter in this stage.
3. Mock interview and University Interview
After successfully paying the registration fee, the student will have a mock session with the Rising Ahead team and then the actual interview with the University.
4. AIC (Academic Information Center)
Academic recognition of foreign qualifications/certificates. AIC evaluates the level of your qualification compared to the education system of Latvia and issues its statement. This statement together with the education document should be submitted to the education establishment.
This step takes 2.5 to 3 months. Meanwhile, we will start preparing all the documents and legalizations required for Visa submission.
The final admission letter will be given after receiving the final confirmation about your educational documents from the AIC.
5. Preparation of Visa submission package
While waiting for AIC results, you will prepare the required documents for the VISA and Residence Permit process.

6. Study Agreement and VSF (Visa support file)
Once we receive the AIC assessment, the student submits the tuition fee payments stated in the acceptance letter and invoice directly to the university.
The study agreement and Invitation number are processed by the university.
In case you need a rental confirmation document to process the invitation number, we can arrange it for you for an extra charge.
Once the Invitation number and Visa support files are received, any additional processing fee to be paid by the student to Rising Ahead is collected before Visa submission.
7. Document submission at VFS
An appointment is booked online or manually by emailing the VFS office and documents are submitted for Visa. An interview is done and then we wait for the results.
8. Welcome to Latvia
Once the visa arrives, you will travel to Latvia, enroll at the university in person, and then submit documents for Temporary Residence Permit.
